The U.S. military has swiftly deployed its advanced anti-missile system, THAAD, to Israel, according to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. This move is aimed at bolstering Israel’s defenses after over 180 missiles were fired at it by Iran. Around 100 U.S. soldiers have also been deployed to support Israel amid escalating tensions in the region.
